Polytes
A downloadable stickman
Polytes puts living stickmen on your screen — small companions that stick around while you use your computer.
Heads up: this is only V1. Right now the stickman just walks and stands still, but more behaviors are coming soon. The animations are decent already; the brain just decides based on internal needs like energy and curiosity — more complex decision-making is coming soon too. When it actually launches, I'll put out something more detailed explaining how it all works under the hood.
Every stickman has its own personality, generated from the name you give it — that shapes how energetic or curious it is, and how much it walks versus sits still. Nothing is scripted; it's all just small systems reacting to each other.
You can also click and drag any part of the stickman's body. Let go and it ragdolls with real inertia and screen-edge collision.
Inspired by Animator vs. Animation, built from scratch in Python with PyQt5.
No download build yet — clone the GitHub repo and follow the README to play.
